Relations

Here is an update on the climate of the household:

Toodles, canine. M (a Smith since 1 week ago)
Still getting the hang of what we do, where we go, when he needs to eat,sleep,poop, etc. He finds the cats amusing and intimidating, but doesn't like when they make sudden dashes or when they play with his toys. He routinely catches Nermal taunting him by eating from his food bowl, but all he does it stay a large distance away and observe.

Wader, feline. F (the eldest, a Smith since 2004)
She doesn't want to take any chances on getting in Toodles' way. She prefers our bed and pillows to lay on, and might get upset if we forget to make the bed. She likes to spread her fat self out on the arm of the armchair and let you massage her back. She will stay by the food bowl and look at you badly if it isn't filled.

Nermal, feline. F (sister to Patchey, a Smith since 2007)
Likes to push Toodles' buttons, and tries to get him in trouble. She prefers to sunbathe on the carpet, and wants to get petted on her own schedule, not yours. She likes to "guard" and lay outside whatever room you are occupying. Has taken a sudden interest in lording over the litter box by perching herself on the top of the cover.

Patchey. feline. F (sister to Nermal, a Smith since 2007)
Interested in all magic and mystery of "bathroom" and will jump in the tub after your shower, or try to open the toilet, or try and pull things off of the shelf. She is the least guarded with Toodles, and is the most needy cat. Wants to be in a lap at all times.
