Today was interesting. I went to work early and got to leave an hour early because of it. YaY.
On the way home I checked my voicemail and I had a call, from the vet's office... Cadet's owner had been identified!!
Once I got home I called them back and they told me they had contacted the original owner, the one who bought the microchip, and she has left her # for me.
I called her and she was very nice. She had Nero (he isn't a Cadet after all, but a freakin' emperor!) since birth, almost 2 1/2 years ago. They had moved to Ga. and she had adopted him out in April when their family grew.
Nero is 75% Great Pyrenees and they took great care of him, he has had both hips replaced since he was 1 yr. old!
Anyways, this woman was so upset that she had chosen the wrong family to adopt Nero out to. I can't say that I blame her after all of the love and $ they had spent to make Nero's life easier. (and I really admire it, because I could not spend $3k on a dog, ever!)
She said that if my co-worker doesn't adopt him, she will take him back. She is supposed to e-mail me some pics of him too!
So, we packed him up and drove to Hixson to meet my co-worker and her daughter and to get some pictures so she could go show her hubby and (hopefully!) adopt him. I will know tomorrow morning!
He deserves a good home, and I really hope it works out.
