Just Thursday

I am sharing the room with four cats as I type, none of them are interested in what my day was like today. :-(

Baby likes to sleep on any "clean" clothes that hasn't been put away.

Can you tell we are fond of our cats? Even Patchey, who messed up our Monopoly game!

Today was a really good day, I feel like it will be smooth sailing right into the weekend! I bought Matthew an iPod off ebay today. I got such a good deal! Yippee!! :-)

I read today that Universal Orlando and Warner Bros. are constructing "Harry Potter" theme park for 2009 opening. About darn time! I think most of us knew this was coming, just who would get the park rights. Oh well, I guess I will have to go, of course!! Lets see.. what else did I learn today... hmm... oh, clothes that have been rolled around in red-clay mud will never come clean again.. just for future reference.
So, I think I may just go on to bed early and enjoy some sleep, dinner has been eaten, and my Thursday night chores are done!

Speaker Woes

Well, I got my car out of the shop. They said I played my bass too high, causing distortion. HaHa, that's the point isn't it? Oh well, the service techs at Nissan can all go jump in the lake. I paid for the sound package / special edition, and I want the sound quality I paid for a year ago!! Warranties are sweet.
Today was a good day at work. Nothing too crazy, thank God. After work I went to O'Charley's and met my friend, Niki. She cracks me up! She is the sweetest, most sincere person I know, and has great character. I am so excited for her and her new relationship with Bryan. Best of luck to her!!
Matthew had to work a little later than usual so we just met up in town and dropped his truck at his parent's house and carpooled home :-)

Blasphemy

Every once in a while I actually pay attention to what AOL has on their little "Welcome" screen. As most people I know I have had this standing obsession with all things Pearl Jam for the last 15 years. Well, this link was well worth the hours it took to be able to play the video. My curiosity had to be satiated, and Oh My Goodness!!!! Now I will never get these words out of my head!!
Make Me Fries

Memorial Daze

Memorial Day this year was spent relaxing and grilling out, and swimming! Michael came up and Matthew got him watching DVD ride-throughs of Disney World. Mom and Dad came up for a few minutes. Matthew fired up our grill that we had never used in 2 yrs since getting it. We had all the fixings for a great hamburger grill-out party. Except when we had all sat down at the table with our plates all made up we realized the hamburger patties had turned into leathery "cardboard" discs.. haha. Matthew had cooked them too fast, on too high of heat. Win some, lose some.. learn ALOT. So when Stefanie came by an hour later he made a nice juicy hamburger for her and the rest of us were a little upset.

Stefanie just HAD to mention going swimming in the "creek"... so we went swimming in the "creek". I so wish I had brought the camera. Since weve had little to no rain lately the "creek" where you go swimming was really just a small pond, cut off from the lake/river. And completely surrounded by river rocks. Granted, even though it was smaller than we had remembered, there were parts where even Michael barely could touch bottom. It was COLD, very cold, and very refreshing. Michael kept thinking he was going to find a dead body, but really there was just alot of branches and "nature" in the water. We swam there for about 45 minutes and decided to move somewhere a bit deeper so Michael could jump in.

We moved up the road a bit and got a place that was actually just a bank on the side of the lake/river. Thank goodness it didn't have slippery river rocks... just very tricky mud. It was about 4 feet (almost straight down bank) of hard-packed red clay mud and then at the water line it became mush. So, Michael and Stefanie got in, and I sat and watched from my chair to see how deep they could measure it, where the drop offs were, etc. It was much nicer since it was an actual flowing water source.. not weedy or too murky. They sized up the area and then I told them I would get in if they could prove to me that thy could get out on their own. Well, Stefanie "the Duck" found it quite easy and just swam and gracefully got out without having to wade through the mud. Michael found it a bit harder, and after about 30 minutes of trying we were definitely considering our options. I was still on the bank with Matthew (who refused to swim). I finally got in and swam a little around the bank where it was still really deep and over my head. Michael and Stefanie took off to swim across to the other side of the river about a good 300 feet away. By the time they got back it was time to go due to them being so exhausted. Matthew found a rope and rigged it up and I tried to get out that way, but the rope he had found in the woods had rotted and broke with me. Michael was seriously going to swim down to the bridge and let us pick him up there. I crawled though the mud and out of the water on my own and was positive I had chunks of rocks/broken glass in my legs. But Matthew helped my get cleaned up and I was fine. Stefanie got standing up and Michael and her were able to get out. We spent more time worrying over how to get out of the river than we did actually swimming. Next time we will take floats and better rope. I can't wait to go back, because it was so fun and no one was around, we only saw a few jet skis run down the channel, very peaceful place to swim. After all, we had a very stereotypical Memorial Day, grilling.. swimming.

We came home and took showers and Matthew made *juicy* burgers and we watched TV. I had a lot of fun.

High Five!

I slept in today until 10 a.m.! Wow. After working all day yesterday I was completely pooped out.
Yesterday went quite well and I got caught up on things and got ready for the severe craziness that will be next week. It is the end of the month as well as being a short week due to the Holiday.
Last night I didnt get home until 7p.m. Then Matthew and I watched some TV and I watched Da Ali G Show Season 1 Disc 2.. hilarious! So, it was a long day with not much going on. Happy to be relaxing. Oh, and we love our Disney DVDs from 20dvdset.com. They totally rock!

New Blog.. again.

I love this rabbit picture, I can't get enough of it. Reminds me of someone I know.. I'll never tell...
I am starting a brand new Blog today. I am so dissatisfied with Yahoos cheap-imitation of a blog. It upsets me everytime I try and post anything. I am just going to redirect from my homepage here and take the Yahoo Blog-o-not down.

Whats going on this week? Worked alot, got the car and truck's oil changed, tires balanced/rotated.. basic adult type stuff.

My mom's dog passed away Sunday. Peace out Lil' Buddy. 10/16/2003-05/20/2006

I have been so tired lately, not sure if it's the medication I am on or just me being tired, which happens. My sinuses have not gotten any better on the Allegra. Hrmph.
I began a book last weekend and hope to return to it tonight. It is called God's Secret Agents, about England during the reformation period, it is really quite good. I have a ton of unfinished things going on. Matthew and I have a 75% completed game of Monopoly going on in the floor of the computer room. I have several DVDs from Netflix growing moss on them, needing to be watched and mailed back.. I love Da Ali G Show. :-)

The cats have been well behaved this week, and the kittens are so much more personable now, they are good lap cats.. finally.

I am at work today, until 6 :-( It is such a pretty day!!!
Memorial Day should be nice as well, and Matthew and I both get the day off HOORAY.
