So, as we have been trudging through the muckity-muck that is our finances, we had to let some things slide. Our student loans took a back burner and actually fell off the radar for over two months.
Finally, tomorrow I had allotted a portion of that debt to be payed in an effort to catch us back up.
I could have gone ahead and payed it, but I wanted to call them and let them know what was going on, and that the repayment would have to be over time, not all at once.
I didn't even get to explain the reasoning behind the delay before the customer service lady was telling me she had brought my account current and with a forbearance made my next payment due on Oct. 15th. !
Wow. That's awesome because I need that $ to catch up on some other late bills.
What a blessing!
This morning started out on a good note though, Matthew got up early and made me a great breakfast of french toast and eggs over medium. Yummy!
Work was busy and I had enough to keep me hopping. We even were able to work 2 hours over!
Since I worked overtime, Matthew had beat me home, done a few chores and made dinner. Double Yummy!
I proceeded to immediately walk in from work and take the dog out in the front yard. I stopped by the EPB meter and made sure our kWh # was the same as the bill I just plucked out of the mail, and it was.
Just then the dog leapt out, and I was left holding the leash and watching him jack-rabbit himself into the neighbor's yard.
Apparently I had hooked the lead to his name tag instead of the collar.
Matthew came out and we corralled him back into the yard after we intruded on the neighbor's pool party, but I didn't feel bad because they are always traipsing across our lawn!
My parents just called, they got a pontoon boat (my dad is a bone-fide horse trader!) WooHoo, I can't wait to go swimming out on the lake next weekend!!!!
:-)
