Lewd Conduct

So, I read the transcript to Senator Larry Craig's arrest.
I am really surprised that it has gotten as far as it did. If you read it, you will know exactly what I am talking about.
Even if he was "making gestures" is that really an arrest-able offense? I wouldn't think so.
Mainly, I don't care whether he is innocent or guilty.. but I don't like it when "high profile" cases are based on little proof. But then, I've never been soliciting in a men's room. :-) haha
The main problem here is people's "perception" of hypocrisy. So, that because someone is a public official and of a certain party, that they should be held to higher expectations of lawfulness. I agree to that to a certain extent.
But just being a republican senator who voted against "homosexual" legislation just makes him a good representative for his home state.
Let's not forget that they are "representatives" in a "representative democracy" who are there to vote the will of the constituents.
How many other politicians do you think vote their own conscience EACH vote, especially on "morality" issues?!?!?! Very few, I would guesstimate.
