Tonight we are meeting Michael to go out to dinner to celebrate him taking the nursing board exam and getting himself a nice lil' 'ole job at Erlanger!!
I forgot to mention that this weekend we got a postcard from our Anysoldier.com soldier! We had sent him two boxes, one full of soaps, matches, necessity thingies. The other box with 18 beanie babies to hand out to the kiddies!
Well, he said THANK YOU, and gave us his e-mail. I will have to show you the postcard tomorrow, because it was FUNNY. I was so surprised to get something back.. I figured he would be too busy to respond. So that was really really nice!
Now that I have read a little further down your blog, I see that you are familiar with Anysoldier.com. It looks like a great way to show hope and encouragement to those serving overseas. I laughed when I read the comment from one soldier who said to send the guys things that smell nice, because they can get pretty stinky all crammed together in the heat like that!
