Yesterday was my birthday. Tuesday night Matthew's parents took us out to eat at one of my favorites, El Meson. I had a spinach quesadilla and it was really good.
Yesterday Matthew took me on an extended lunch break to Las Margaritas and I had a bean burrito.. yum.
Last night we went to Mojo Burrito for dinner before church, and I had a rice, pinto bean, lettuce, cheese, and sour cream burrito that was exceptionally good.
Well, after 3 "southwestern" eateries in a row I am ready for more bland fare.
Church went well. It was our first "class" with the RCIA group where they had a discussion on some questions they had about things like genuflection. I can't believe Matthew and I are Sponsors this time around.. it seems odd to be part of the group there to help answer questions. But we are so blessed to be there.
After the discussion portion, Father David came in to give a talk about the Church's Social Doctrine, going over Corporal and Spiritual Acts of Mercy, and answering a lot of the class' questions.
Matthew and I found it hard to leave, but after being there over and hour and a half, we said good-bye to our class and excused ourselves.
It being my birthday, my "not so good at communicating plans" family had expected us to be home for cake/gifts after work. After going to our Church obligations we made it home after 9 p.m., but was still able to enjoy our time with everyone and share cake.
I am so glad the B-Day is over, though!
Tonight I am going home, crashing, and spending time with Matthew and our cats. This weekend is going to be full again, with going to Mass and a Dinner at Church on Saturday, Gym, and going to the Bridal Show with Niki on Sunday!

I am surprised at how excited I became when I heard Fred Thompson is officially running. I have no idea what he stands for, but somehow I have subconscious feelings that I like him. Odd.
