The weekend was so jam-packed with activity, I thought for sure I would be breezing through this week.
Work is crazy. There is just a lot to do, and everything seems to be taking longer than it should. Every truck has something go wrong with it..ugh.
Last night we had to run over to Matthew's old job to pick up some tools he had left. But after that "side trip" we went straight up to my Mom's. My Aunt was visiting and we had some dinner. I was so starving I almost broke my diet and had a hot dog. But, Matthew reminded me I would be breaking my diet for a hot dog. Funny what you crave though.
I will eventually eat some red meat/chicken (at some point). I am trying to see how long I can hold out though. Since I swore off meat for purely nutritional purposes and not anything "meaningful or deep" I feel like I wouldn't kick myself if I broke down and had a hamburger. It is just something nice I am doing for myself.
I am on my second Ursula Hegi book, and I love the way she writes!

Matthew and I will be participating in the 40 Days for Life, so hopefully there is a trip to Knoxville for us in the time from: Sep. 26 to Nov. 4 ! YaY
Knoxville’s historic
40-day pro-life campaign
A call for people of faith to join together in record numbers and to go to the streets to end the injustice of abortion
Think about how God has used 40-day time periods throughout history to bring about major change...
• Noah and the 40 days of rain
• Moses and the 40 days on Mount Sinai and his scouts who reconnoitered the Promised Land for 40 days
• David and Goliath's challenge of 40 days
• Elijah and the strength derived from one meal for a 40 day journey
• Nineveh and the 40 days to reform and repent
• Jesus and His 40 days in the wilderness
• The disciples and their 40 days with Jesus following His resurrection
Now think about what God can accomplish if one community united together for 40 days to end abortion...
• How will believers be transformed?
• How will the lives of mothers and their babies be transformed?
• How will the Knoxville community be transformed?
• What effect will this transformation have across the rest of our nation?
A bridge too far? Chattanooga, thanks to prayer, sacrifice and the solidarity of the various faith communities in their area, is now free of abortion and Planned Parenthood clinics. It all started with prayer and people like those featured in a documentary at www.40daysforlife.com/show.cfm.
