My Thursday Nap

I left work at noon yesterday, and once again set out to find the impossible.
I ran by the bank and made a deposit, and the lady behind the glass (and through the drive-thru sliding drawer) commenced to tell me how she could smell my gum, and how MUCH she loved it. In fact, she LOVED it so much she could tell me the exact brand and flavor. It was really uncomfortable and I nodded and drove off with my receipt.
Here is my new gum.. I do LOVE it.

I then proceeded to Goody's, and grabbed a cart and made up my mind I would find some clothes I liked. It did take some rooting around and about 20 minutes in the fitting room alone, but I came away with 4 tops, 1 pr. shorts, 2 pr. jeans, 2 pr. earrings, 1 ring, and 1 bracelet for only 6 bucks over my clothes budget I had in my mind.
I was very pleased with everything. The stores are much less crowded at 12:30! I had it basically to myself, and that helped.
Leaving work early is nice.. but being threatened with a lay-off isn't. So, I will cut my hours and pray we get through the slow times.
When I came home we ate lunch and then watched some TV. I am still angry at myself for not delving into a summer reading list yet, but I am going to McKays tonight. After a little TV I took a nap, such a hot and exhausting day!
I am DVR-ing two new shows coming on for the summer, Fear Itself, and Swingtown. I watched Swingtown last night and it seems OK. Although I was intoxicated by my fresh raspberries and vanilla yogurt snack. LOL.

Matthew starts his new job Monday!
