False Cognates

This weekend has been wild. I say weekend, even though it is 12:51 a.m. Tuesday, because I haven't been back to work or normalcy since Thursday.
Goosey came home and has now been given free reign to move around the house. She was slow to get active, but is doing much better now.
What can I actually say about this weekend? I had managed to get a list of things to do and pretty much did nothing but sleep and moan about the itching. Here is a pic I just took.
The Dr. said it is red ant bites, hundreds of them. Since I can only go on what I saw at the early hours of Friday morning, I couldn't really argue. Probably chiggers, but the Dr. wasn't too acquainted with them :-)
So, I am on antibiotics, got a shot in the rear of steroids, and a TETANUS shot in the arm.. ouch! Actually, the steroids hurt more, LOL.
So, I came home today and spent the day with my sister and nephew driving around and had a really good time. I felt groggy all day due to the shots, but luckily I was just the passenger. We timed it just right to meet Matthew after work for chips and dip at Amigo's. YaY.
I haven't spoken with Michael in a few days. I hope this means he has finally found the bus schedule, train schedule, and a grocery store nearby his dorm in London. I felt so sorry for him when I talked to him last because nothing seemed to be going right with this leg of his trip and he was actually considering coming home!! I hope he stays and makes the best out of it. By now though he's probably gallivanting around and not worrying anymore about the little things (like procuring a Diet Coke!).
Ugh, well it is after 1 a.m. now and I might go and TRY to get comfortable enough to sleep. The itching hasn't yet subsided, even though I am keeping ointment on my legs.. and it is doing a number on my sleeping!!
Hopefully be back at work tomorrow and getting on with it!
