We had a great day, even though J had an hour's worth of fillings. The gas made him groggy, but he still came out of it hungry. It was very hard to not let him have any food or water this morning, but the dentists office insisted.
Remember the vacuum calamity? Well, one of my coworkers suggested I take it back to Lowes. I said (laughingly) no, it was nearly a year old and we had bought it to bring to the new house.
So, today while I was letting J lay on the couch and watch TV while his mouth was still numb, I found my expandable file with "all things house-buying".
Wouldn't you know, there was the receipt from Lowes! So, I found Bissel's website and called them up. They ran me through some things and then suggested I take it to the nearest service retailer.. 2 hours away! So I called down there and got their weekend hours, thinking we might have time to run it in on Valentine's Day weekend, since we will be in Atlanta anyways for an adoption seminar-thingy.
Then a few hours later I was resolved to call back and let them know how upset I was that I would have to take my vacuum 2 hours away! Well, I managed to get a very receptive lady on the other end of the line, and voila! new vacuum getting fed-ex-ed within the week! YeeHaw.
Finally, something is going my way!
I do have the added annoyance of shipping mine back to Bissel, but she told me I could keep all of my attachments (apparently the newer version of mine didn't have as many bells and whistles)
What a deal!
