We went to the library this morning! WooHoo.. We ALL (and I mean ALL) had the best time, there was a story hour for the kids that started at 11:00, and they really did well listening and watching the lady.
Then we found their wishlist, books on cats and volcanoes. Then we roamed the aisles and found "extras" we just had to have.
And for the biggest event of my day: I found the book I have been searching for for 19 years! Literally I read this book in 1990 and I have been scouring the internet and libraries for it. Of course, my 10 year old mind only knew the story, not the author or title, so it has been a rough 19 years!
Today as I was passing by a bookshelf I caught it out of the corner of my eye, pulled it off the shelf, and there was the same picture that was on the same book I got out of the elementary library all of those years ago! Heaven, I was in Heaven!
We ended up walking out with 13 books between all of us.
Then we headed home for lunch, rested a while and then went to the battlefield and rode bikes, ran around, and walked the doggie.
We went for a few minutes to the Ft. O. park, but it was insanely crowded. So, we came home and played in the yard right here.
I got to speak with J's new baseball coach and we have a meet-n-greet tomorrow! Now I just have to find those baseball fields! We went to the store and bought him some new cleats, and he is thrilled. :-)
