The doors went back on today. We had two very grateful children who hopefully will stop locking, slamming, and imprisoning kitties in their rooms!
We had a visit today from a DFCS worker who initially brought us the kids' case files to review. It was nice to see her and hopefully she was happy we were all doing well.
She was very encouraging about talking to the children about permanency, and this being their forever family. I am so glad we are getting confirmation of that.. we were so skeptical after hearing such sad stories in class.
Work is going too slow for comfort and a co-worker was already laid off. We are all getting a little nervous, but hopefully (like it or not) when the new President takes office the economy will pick up again. Fingers crossed!
