They sure are. We took them both out today to "stock up" on the essentials. All they wanted were spaghetti-os and chocolate ice cream. Funny how that little list turned into 88 bucks.
I told my sister the other day that the one thing I have noticed since having 2 little ones in the house is that we use so many spoons! I don't think Matthew and I ever used more than one or two a week, and now, I am washing spoons all day long!
This morning Matthew took J to Sunday school, which runs from 9-10:30. We all met up after he got out of class (it was only for K-5, so T had to stay with us)and went to the "big church" for their first Mass. T, surprisingly, was the most well-behaved, and sat in my lap and showered me with kisses and hugs. She pretended to read the songbook, and was better than I had ever expected. J, who really enjoyed Sunday school, was a bit more tired of it all, and halfway through he began saying.. "when do we go home?". I remember those feelings when I was little. Thankfully, they sat still, whispered, and really made me proud.
When they got home, that all changed. After over a week of explaining to T that the bedroom doors were not meant to be locked, and never to be slammed, we took a page out of the training class and Matthew took the doors off of their hinges and they are now in our bedroom. J thought it was the best idea ever, since he seemed to be always on the wrong end of a locked door. T, was distraught, but quickly learned the lesson.
Matthew took care of homework duty today, and reading!
Yesterday we read 5 books, it is fun to read Dr. Seuss again.
J had drawn a picture in one of his school folders, and it showed people and it said, "I like my family, I (drawn heart) you" and he told me it was of us.. how cute!!
The gum where my poor tooth used to reside is healing up well, it feels all "funny" and I am still medicating. Hopefully soon I will be able to venture into food that isn't stuffing, mashed potatoes, or green beans :-)
I'm so happy that the kids are working out and they sure seem to be great children.
