great!
Wednesday the kids were still banned from petting the cats, but as a reprieve from the temptation to run over and hug a cat, they went to visit their former foster family for a few hours. I missed them terribly, of course, but they had a wonderful time. I am very happy that they got to go so soon, it seems like they are adjusting to our home very quickly. T did say it felt "weird" visiting the place she used to live. It is such a blessing that they are such wonderful people and we will continue theirs and the children's relationship.
In fact, we are doubly blessed, since next week they will also go for a few hours and visit the adoptive family of T's twin. I can not wait to meet them, even though there have been a lot of e-mails.
I am going to make a family wall in the living room for pictures of our family, as well as the kid's extended families. I am so excited!
J's report card came home and looked OK, we have a few things to work on this weekend, namely memorizing a new address and phone number. Poor guy didn't realize that by moving into our house those things changed.
Thursday they both woke up and ran into the living room and hugged the cats. It was a sight, and very cute. Finally free of their two-day hands-off-kitties-rule, they were a little preoccupied over breakfast about what the cats were doing.
Matthew took J and T Thursday morning, since it was J's first day catching a new bus, and I had to stay late at work for a union meeting. I hear everything went great, so much so that I carpooled and helped get them out the door again this morning, and I believe Matthew will be the official taking-care-of-business-in-the-morning-best-dad-ever.
This weekend me and T are going to a baby shower, and then all four of us are going to travel to see my nephew's basketball game. Yay. The kids will like it.
Sunday is Church and playing at home.
Monday I am home because of the holiday and we are going to hang out and then go out for lunch at "the indoor playground place a.k.a. Chik-fil-A".
