Today I read a great blog from the Rosetta Stone and felt compelled to break out the rosary Michael had brought me back from the Vatican Museum on his fling through Europe last summer. No sense having it if I can't use it. I had never prayed with it, it is so beautiful. I wish I still had the camera to show it off, but Mom took it to Dallas. It actually came from the Vatican Museum and has a gorgeous jewelry box. It is made out of real turquoise beads and it truly is one of the nicest I have seen. I am really glad I decided to make today the day.
I don't do the rosary all too often, but I felt that with all that is going on, I wanted to take the twenty minutes and do this devotion. Lets just say I had a lot of intentions.
I have a rosary CD I picked up at the MQU Shrine back in 2006, and I just load it up on iTunes and then use this "cheat sheet" from New Advent here. Matthew and I have also prayed the rosary with the EWTN program, and that is just as nice. Today it was just me though, me and my list of problems. St. Jude used to do a parish rosary on Fridays after Mass, will have to ask Fr. Liam tonight if St. Gerard's does anything like that.
