Last week was a blur or frantic, crazy, absurdities. Work has been tipsy-turvy and us looking for a house has got me all discombobulated.
This weekend we went and saw 10 houses in Ringgold/Rossville area. Keeping within a 15 mile range from work is actually kind of easy, but I am never ceasing to be amazed at the state of some of the houses on the market. We went to a really nice subdivision with 2 houses in our range for sale. Nice from the curb, 2 story, double garage, etc. We walk in and yuck!!!!! Like I said before, I want our first home to not be a huge project house, and if we have to do much more than cleaning the carpets and painting the walls to get moved in, you can count me out!!!
We liked one house on the same street as a co-worker of mine, but it was eerie, because it reminded me of my grandmother's house.. very dated. But the cool thing was it hadn't been messed around with, just nicely maintained.. so it would be easy to make out own with just paint and all. But this old (probably dead) lady's things were still there, mail, clothes, etc. like she just stepped out for some shopping or something. It was a bit too voyeuristic for me. I would like to see it empty. Not be reminded that she probably died in the house, her relatives not yet removing their heirlooms. :-(
So anyway if it happens it happens... I am still scouring the net.
