Well, actually Friday & Saturday.
Last night Matthew and I stayed in, ate a lovely dinner, played with the animals, etc. He watched a James Bond movie and I began a new book.
This morning we got up early, grabbed the paperwork and brownies and off we set out for the DFCS Foster class. Today was especially rough, because we spent nearly 8 hours going over the different signs of abuse, and focused heavily on sexually abused children. There was a lot of bonding with our class this second week, and I am so blessed to be getting to know everyone!
In fact, they were already grilling us today about a few prospective foster kids they want to place with us ASAP due to our location and elementary school zone. YaY.
We came home and picked up the truck, changing clothes and getting on the road again. We stopped by and got to see Niki and give her the reference packet for our paperwork, and got to see both her and her hubby, and those two lovely doggies! :-)
We drove up to Sale Creek and got to spend a few minutes with my Mom, Dad, and Nephew, and also drop off two more reference packets for family friends. We loaded up the truck with a twin bed for the boy room, and a dresser that was my grandmother's that is absolutely perfect in the girl's room. (too tired for pics tonight)
