I was determined. I left work yesterday and headed over to the McKay's used book store, which is conveniently just down the road from Matthew's new workplace.
I had a list.
I was wanting to find:
a travel book on Oklahoma.. there were none.
a book written by Pope JPII.. there were none.
a book on adopting (written this century).. there were none.
and finally, any of the Captain Underpants (for my nephew) book series by Dav Pilkey.. there were none.
In fact, the Children's section was appalling! The books were all haphazardly stacked and too high up on the shelves for kid's eyes! They weren't sorted by author, or anything! Ugh! It was super frustrating. I can excuse them for not having certain books, but I shouldn't have to search for an hour in the children's dept. just because they can't organize.
The rows are so tightly together you cant stand back far enough to peer down and see what's on the bottom shelf, and crowded! Now I know why I haven't had an inclination in going there for almost a year!
I guess I will have to buy everything off of Half.com like I always do.
We had our sponsor orientation last night and we are so excited about re-joining RCIA by sponsoring! We will be meeting on Wed. nights. WooHoo.
Tonight is our sleep study and the Rite of Welcoming.. busy busy busy!
