Thank you for contacting my office regarding S. 2075 the Ultrasound Informed Consent Act. I appreciate the time you took to share your thoughts.

Like you, I am pro-life and believe in the sanctity of human life. As you know, this bill will require that women seeking an abortion receive an ultrasound, have the option to view the ultrasound and have a physician share the results prior to performing the procedure. I am a co-sponsor of this legislation and believe, if enacted, it will help reduce the number of abortions in our country.

Currently, this legislation has been referred to the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions. Should this legislation come before the full Senate I will certainly take your concerns into consideration.
