I dream about some really mundane things. I woke up one night "clicking" the corner of a pillow like it was a mouse, while I had been dreaming of work.
I read an article on Wikipedia called the Tetris Effect. It really describes some of my dreams.
When I was really into doing jigsaw puzzles I dreamed of the pieces fitting together. I dream of job tasks, chess games, etc. Really odd. I am glad this is a documented thing, otherwise I might feel really crazy!
